Partner with the Clarity Group and Owner of Liza Feilner Therapy
Liza is a skilled therapist with over two decades of experience working as a clinician and leader in the field of mental health. She has expertise in the treatment of eating disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, and depression and feels honored to walk with people as they explore challenges in relationships, break unhelpful patterns and navigate life transitions. In addition to working with many clients and families, she has held several director level positions in behavioral health hospitals where she developed, refined and oversaw high acuity programs. Liza relies on evidence-based interventions to help people achieve their goals for therapy. She has a steady and calming presence and has been told that she has a way of making people feel at ease.
Liza believes that peoples’ stories make sense: that where we get stuck, where we struggle and where we experience pain, make sense in the context of our lives considering our experiences, our “wiring”, our environment and other factors. She believes that this understanding helps people develop a more compassionate stance toward themselves and others that serves as a foundation for meaningful change.
Liza also believes that our stories are still developing. She holds deep hope for people she works with that they are works in progress and loves to join people in acquiring the insight, tools, skills and confidence to own more of the writing of their stories. Liza has a passion for helping people find increasing measures of freedom in their lives to move toward a life of meaning and satisfaction.
